We are excited to announce that enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 school year. To be eligible to apply, students must reside within the East Baton Rouge Parish. Click the link below to apply today.

We are adding 11th grade for the 2026-2027 school year, so Helix Aviation Academy will now be open to students in kindergarten through 11th grade.

Review Your Results

You will receive an email with the results of your application within two weeks of the deadline. Once you receive your results, confirm acceptance of the seat offer.

Submit Registration

Once accepted, registration information must be submitted to complete your seat assignment. Please see the checklist below for the required documents.

Things To Know First

Helix Aviation Academy will be accepting applications for grades K-first grade and sixth through ninth grades for the 2024-25 school year.

To be eligible to apply, students must reside within the East Baton Rouge Parish. Upon acceptance, the following documents are required to complete registration:

  • IdentificationEvery Applicant Will Need: Birth Certificate And A Parent/Guardian ID
  • Social Security CardOriginal Social Security Card (No photocopies)
  • Immunization Record
  • Two (2) Proofs of ResidencyAcceptable Proofs Include: Electric Bill Gas Bill Water/Sewage Bill Phone Bill Mortgage Statement Current Signed Lease (Must reflect the last 30 days.)
  • Most Recent Report Card/Transcript
  • Drop Slip from Previous SchoolIf applicable

Public Records Requests

R.S. 44:1 et seq.), individuals may request access to public records maintained by Helix Community Schools by submitting a written request to the Custodian of Public Records. All public records requests must be directed to: public.records@helixcommunityschools.org.

Student education records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and related state laws, and are not considered public records. Requests for student records must be submitted using the contact information provided below. Requests properly submitted to the Custodian of Public Records will be reviewed and responded to within the timeframes required by Louisiana law.

Student Records Requests
Helix Community Schools maintains student records at the school level. To request student records, please email haa.studentrecords@helixcommunityschools.org. To ensure timely processing, include the student’s full name, date of birth, and any relevant details needed to locate the records. Failure to direct records requests to the correct school will result in delayed processing.
