How long will the tour take?

The duration of your tour may vary depending on the type of tour you select. Currently, we offer virtual and in-person tours.

Are school tours free?

Yes, school tours are free! However, we do require that you register online in order to attend. To register for one of our next tours, click the registration link below.

Will the tour be cancelled due to weather?

There is a possibility a tour may be canceled due to inclement weather. If this does occur, you will be notified by email and given a postponement date or options to reschedule.

However, we will try to notify you as early as possible if there is a case of inclement weather.

Public Records Requests

In accordance with the Louisiana Public Records Law (La. R.S. 44:1 et seq.), individuals may request access to public records maintained by Helix Community Schools by submitting a written request to the Custodian of Public Records. All public records requests must be directed to: public.records@helixcommunityschools.org.

Student education records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and related state laws, and are not considered public records. Requests for student records must be submitted using the contact information provided below. Requests properly submitted to the Custodian of Public Records will be reviewed and responded to within the timeframes required by Louisiana law.

Student Records Requests

Helix Community Schools maintains student records at the school level. To request student records, please email haa.studentrecords@helixcommunityschools.org. To ensure timely processing, include the student’s full name, date of birth, and any relevant details needed to locate the records. Failure to direct records requests to the correct school will result in delayed processing.
